Help us make the movie that will change the world!

http://www.thevenusproject.com/donations-motion-picture

The Venus Project is asking for donations to do a major motion picture depicting life in a resource-based economy. The film is designed to reach the general public throughout the world to introduce an exciting sustainable new social direction depicting a vision of what our future can be if we intelligently apply science and technology with environmental and human concern--a future where war, poverty and hunger could be but a distant memory.

  2. I have been a long time follower of the Zeitgeist movement and the Venus project. Iagree that we need to rebuild and reorganize society to reflect the world of todays realities and tomorrows dreams. the problem as I see it is a practical way to realize progress toward the goal. may I humbly suggest a new way of building a cheap and energy efficient way to build a house. we start with a frame of cattle panels standing on end. cattle panels are 16x4 feet and made with 5 gauge wire in a mesh pattern. on end they would be hooked together with C clips and could be in any shape with 4 foot intervals. I propose a dome shape by bending the panel inward beginning at 7 ft level all around to close at the peak. then we would wrap them with chicken wire to close the mesh and then spray on soy based foam through a fan tip. a second layer would then be sprayed on the inside. after the foam is cured we would cut in windows and doors..temperature would be controlled by infloor water tubing heated by a solar panel array. the cattle panels are very strong and light and can be bought at any farm supply store for about 22 dollars each. a 30 ft diameter dome would need 24 panel and cost 600 dollars for the panels. a 16 ft solarium could be added for 8 more panels and used for aquaponic food supply. overall I believe this home could be built for $40,000.what do you think of this idea? any questions or improvement ideas? donaldziehme@yahoo.com
